What permissions does SuperStar need?
View Channels, Send Messages, Embed Links, Read Message History, Manage Messages, Kick Members, Ban Members, Moderate Members, Manage Channels, and Manage Roles. Run /security status to verify readiness.
Does it require the Message Content intent?
Only for prefix-based custom commands — slash commands work without it. Set ENABLE_PREFIX_COMMANDS=false to disable prefix commands entirely.
How does verification work?
/verification setup creates Verified and Unverified roles plus a public panel. Members stay in Unverified and normal channels stay locked until they click Verify.
Are tickets archived?
Yes. Staff can claim and close tickets, and closing always produces an automatic transcript of the conversation.
How do custom commands work?
Define a name and response with /custom add. Members trigger it with your prefix — e.g. !rules — and responses support {user}, {server}, and {args}.
Where is data stored?
Server settings, warnings, custom commands, prefixes, the admin allowlist, and ticket records are kept in SuperStar's own managed cloud database. No data is sold or shared with unrelated third parties.
